Kobe beef steak restaurant on Sanjo Street.Although it is written as teppanyaki, it cannot be seen in front of you because it is baked in the kitchen.To be honest, the freshness of the meat is quite bad. The color was also bad, and the meat that turned fat was oxidized and smelled.Most of them are inbound customers. Even if you don't know about Japanese beef, you can't recommend it to domestic customers.

Niyama was recommended to us and we had an absolutely delicious meal. Probably the softest, tastiest, meltiest beef I've ever had, certainly the best we had in our 2 weeks in Japan. The owner was a gracious and attentive host. Definitely coming back next time we're in Kyoto. It's a small place so book to avoid disappointment!

The service was second to none at this restaurant. The beef was delicious though there was a small vein of gristle in part. The sake was devine. Very cosy and comfortable. Not too expensive so would definitely recommend 😁
